The Lake Village Bakery in Osoyoos

Check this place out recently on the recommendation of a friend. Bread here is absolutely fantastic, some of the best sourdough I’ve had anywhere in the valley. Keep up the good work ladies!

You can't go wrong with this place. Everything in there is tasty. Just be sure to get there early because there isn't much left in the afternoon!

If you’ve never been to The Lake Village Bakery in Osoyoos you MUST go!!!! Absolutely amazing breads, pies, cakes, croissants, cookies, tasty cheeses, and a lot more... Not to talk about the pizza days...

At first glance, I was worried whether it would be worth it, since it was advertised as a sourdough bakery, not to mention the website makes little mention of baked goods besides sourdough-based croissants and cinnamon buns, but they do have sweets and those sweets happen to be unique and tasty.... -- "Mimi's Cake Tour"

Ordered a slab cake . Was extremely disappointed in taste as well as appearanceWould not order a cake there again. Was no wow factor. Considering over 100 were at the event not one person said a word about the cake. What does that tell you!

Everything here is outstanding. Their baguettes are as good as any in the world. Be sure to be there when they open to insure you get a cinnamon bun.

Awesome little basket in the South end of Osoyoos that specializes in Sourdough breads. Nicely done cinnamon buns and simply excellent buttertarts.Only open Wednesday to Saturday and only from 8ish till about 3pm. Go early because there will be a lineup!

Visiting from Naramata, the "Artisan Bread" sign on the road caught our attention and we are so glad we decided to visit. Osoyoos should be proud to have such a wonderful bakery in town. We were served by a friendly and professional young lady and we also spoke with Ian who is clearly passionate about his craft. We purchased a loaf of rye and a couple of sweet treats. Wonderful, fresh, high quality and reasonably priced. What more could you ask for.

Great pastry shop. Incredible puff pastries on Danishes with local apricots. Tarts are 3/5 their sourdough focaccia tastes good but is not a traditional focaccia.

Suggestion for locals and weekly visitors.... pre order your goodies to ensure you get a chance to try everything lol.. there are line ups in the morning so bring a coffee and come have a lovely morning chat while waiting for the deliciousness

Rave about everything. Breads, pastries, sourdough bagels... Are you kidding... If you have a soul, you will absolutely love everything here.

Great quality breads, fantastic croissants, delicious cakes, tasty granola, fair price. Everything is home made. Very busy in the summer, better pre order! Anarchist loaf is my favorite. Don't miss it!

Amazing bread for a reasonable price.

Delicious baked goods, friendly staff! Even a few tasty gluten-free offerings. Just don't dawdle in the morning or some of the best offerings will be gobbled up by other happy customers!

Good sourdough croissants. We like the anarchist bread but if you want something you have to get there right when it opens.

The staff at the Lake Village Bakery are always very attentive and knowledgeable. Their bread is fantastic, baked goods are excellent (esp butter tarts and cookies!) and we custom ordered a birthday cake and it was perhaps the best cake we’ve ever eaten! Highly recommended!

Just finished breakfast from Lake Village Bakery. Fantastic! I walked over for one of their amazing Soudough Cinnamon Buns and spotted their Breakfast Bakes. I brought two of these home as well, and my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed them! The owners are always friendly and are committed to quality products and customer satisfaction.

Best bread in Canada. What luck we stopped here only because it had a carpark on our side of the road and we found this delightful bakery. Awesome artisan beads.

Bring a coffee and enjoy some of the best baking in the area. Fresh and delicious baked goods. Great price and friendly employees.

Their bread is excellent, however they are too often sold out by mid day. Even if you are a repeat customer driving from Penticton they will not hold one loaf till mid afternoon. It is not always possible to preorder and I feel they should honour customer loyalty.

Get there early, there will be a line before it opens and it is absolutely worth the wait! Their cheese sourdough loaf and the sourdough brioche cinnamon buns are insane.

Such an outstanding bakery. Their breads are so delicious, especially the Cranberry Walnut! Looking forward to trying some of their other baked goods in the future.

We came in with the idea of buying breakfast, walked away with $30 worth of pastries and bread. Enough said.

We ordered a slab cake with two layers. It was for a group of about 100 peopleI have to say the WOW factor was not thereI was told the cake would be light and fluffy. It was not. It was more like a brownie inconsistency. Not what was ordered. The decorations on the cake were very pale and were not impressive.Not worth the price for sure

Genuinely one of the best bakeries in the Okanagan! Put it this way, we've made the trip from Kelowna just to enjoy their treats. If you're in the Osoyoos/South Okanagan area, you have to pay them a visit. You will not regret it! Aside from the great bread and sweets (the butter tarts are a MUST), the owners - Meagan Bibby and Ian Young - also have a commitment to locally sourced, ethical products and materials, which I think is great. I wish I could give them 10 stars!

Yummy. Get there early or pre-order in the busy summer months. Pain au chocolat as good as in France!!!
